The Leonberg-based company Lewa is known worldwide as a specialist in handling critical fluids and a manufacturer of metering diaphragm pumps, metering piston pumps, process pumps and complete metering systems. The pumps are used in the oil and gas, chemical, cosmetics, pharmaceutical and food industries.

Problem

To reduce wear on the piston rod pin in the drive unit of the diaphragm metering pump "ecoflow", the developers were looking for a suitable bearing with a long service life.

Solution

Bearings of the iglidur ® X series are perfect for this application. They are characterised by a high temperature resistance in combination with high compressive strength and are designed for chemical resistance at higher speeds.
