iglidur® G | The all-rounder
The widest range of different requirements is covered by iglidur® G. Therefore, the material is rightly called universal. Typical applications include medium to high loads, medium surface speeds and medium temperatures. iglidur® G is the decathlete among iglidur® materials. It performs very well in all technical disciplines and is the classic all-rounder, primarily with respect to the overall general, mechanical, thermal and tribological specifications.

Iglidur® Q290 | medium to high loads, especially on soft shafts
iglidur® Q290 shows excellent service life in robust swivel applications, such as those frequently encountered in agricultural machinery, especially on “soft” shafts (e.g. galvanized). The stress on the shafts is also minimal.

High abrasion resistance at low surface speeds 


Easy-to-process, abrasion-resistant filament - suitable for food contactiglidur i150 is characterised by high wear resistance, as the material is enriched with solid lubricants. It can be processed just as easily as standard PLA and PETG filaments. Due to its high wear resistance and good mechanical properties (strength, toughness, layer adhesion), it is an all-rounder material that is suitable for most applications and 3D printers. This makes it by far the most frequently used igus filament. There are restrictions only in terms of the maximum permanent application temperature of 65°C and for highly dynamic applications.Furthermore, it is suitable for food contact due to the conformity according to EU 10/2011 and is therefore ideal in applications in the food and packaging industry.

Fire-retardant high-temperature filament, ideal for the railway industry
iglidur RW370 is an abrasion-resistant, high-temperature tribofilament which was specifically developed for use in railway vehicles. As such, its fire-retardant specifications conform to UL94-V0 and EN45545. In addition, it has the maximum mechanical strength of all tribofilaments and a long-term temperature resistance of 170 °C, which makes it the material of choice for high-temperature applications.

When the application requires high temperature resistance
When the mechanical strength of the other tribofilaments is not sufficient

When very high wear resistance at high-temperature load is required (→ iglidur A350)



The materials of the ECON series, iglidur J4, GLW, P4, PLW210, ALW350, HLW and NEW: Q2LW are not only ideally suited for many applications, but are now also available on the European market in standard dimensions.

The special feature of iglidur AX500 is that it is a conductive material. In addition, AX500 has an even lower wear value than its predecessor. The material was developed especially for the food industry and can therefore be used in contact with food without any problems.

iglidur® J200 | Specifically for aluminium shafts
iglidur® J200 is the result of the development of particularly low-friction materials. When using it in linear motion, friction can be critical. Many materials can give low coefficients of friction under high loads, but this material can give excellent coefficients of friction even at low loads.

iglidur® T220 | For the tobacco industry, FDA-compliant
iglidur® T220 is a special material for use in the tobacco processing industry. It fulfills the requirements of the tobacco industry (engineering database). The material is free of undesirable or prohibited ingredients, as required by renowned manufacturers of tobacco products as of 2004, and contains no carcinogenic additives such as PTFE.

Highest compressive strength, coupled with high elasticity, gives iglidur® Z its outstanding properties in connection with soft shafts, edge loads and impacts. At the same time, the bearings are suitable for temperatures up to +250 °C.

iglidur® G V0 | V0 rating according to UL94, universal
iglidur® GV0 is the first iglidur® material with V0 rating according to UL94 for universal use in the normal temperature range. All other iglidur® materials with V0 rating are part of the high-temperature segment. The general mechanical and thermal specifications are largely comparable with the all-rounder iglidur® G.

iglidur® A181 | The universal material for food contact
The material iglidur® A181 offers both FDA and 10/2011 EC compliance. The blue colour also facilitates the &#34;optical detectability&#34; often desired in the food sector. Compared to iglidur® A180 with regard to the mechanical properties, temperature and media resistance, iglidur® A181 is more suitable with respect to the wear resistance in most cases.

Like all iglidur® materials, iglidur® J2 is PFOA-free.

Easy-to-process, abrasion-resistant filament for the printing of food grade components in blueThe iglidur i151 tribofilament is suitable for components with high wear resistance, as the material is filled with solid lubricants. It was specifically developed for use in the food and packaging industry: the printed components are compliant to FDA and EU Regulation 10/2011 and the blue colour ensures the required optical detectability. iglidur i151 is also an all-rounder material, and due to its good mechanical properties (strength, toughness, layer adhesion) it is suitable for most applications. iglidur i151 has comparable mechanical specifications as iglidur i150, by far the most frequently used igus filament. There are restrictions in terms of the maximum permanent application temperature of 65°C and for highly dynamic applications.

Bearings of so-called tracking systems in photovoltaic systems defy particularly adverse environmental conditions. iglidur P UV was developed for this area of application. The special composition ensures high resistance to ultraviolet rays and ensures that components made of iglidur P UV function for a particularly long time and with the least possible loss of strength. 


iglidur® D | Low-cost material with silicone
In the development of iglidur® D, a very low price was at the top of the requirement profile. In particular, low coefficient of friction was required at high speeds in dry operation. This material containing silicone achieves low coefficient of friction in dry operation and runs with virtually no stick-slip.

Food-safe high-temperature filament, FDA-compliant
iglidur A350 is an abrasion-resistant, high-temperature filament developed for the food and packaging industry. As such, the raw material is compliant with EU 10/2011 and FDA food contact regulations and has the industry standard blue colour. It is temperature-resistant up to 180 °C, fire-retardant according to UL94-V0 and can be sterilised with superheated steam.
Tip: iglidur A350 complies with the fire prevention requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration of the USA (FAA) for aircraft interiors

When to use it?

For applications in the food industry with high application temperatures of up to 180 °C

When not to use it?

When high wear resistance at high temperature loads is required
If, in addition to high application temperatures, high strength is also required or complex parts are to be produced (→ iglidur RW370)



 iglidur® H3 | Tough, wear-resistant, durable
With iglidur® H3 there is a new material in the iglidur H family. H3 sets new standards with its high durability. This material is tougher than comparable materials and achieves a longer service life than iglidur H1. iglidur H3 was developed primarily for use in pumps and demanding media and shines with its low moisture absorption.

iglidur® A200 is suitable for use in direct contact with food. The iglidur i6-BLUE material, developed for laser sintering, is specifically intended for use as a worm wheel, and for food contact. The material reduces the level of bacterial contamination but - like all &#34;anti-bacterial&#34; materials - is not a substitute for adequate hygienic measures.
